JOB TITLE:  UK Head of Tax

REPORTS TO: EMEA Head of Financial & Regulatory Reporting.

Role Background:

To drive UK tax reporting requirements, tax compliance and product due diligence as well as supporting the increasing business demand and Group requirements there is a need to recruit an experienced tax manager. The role is based in London and will have responsibility for the UK tax accounting and advisor issues.  It is anticipated that this will a three day a week role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

•	Responsible for direct and indirect taxation reporting, control and compliance in the UK.
•	Consolidation of existing UK tax responsibilities and outsourced responsibilities.
•	Working closely with the business line in assessing the tax impacts of new products and markets
•	Key areas of work will involve
•	Foreign withholding taxes linked to dividends and ensuring that withholding taxes are minimised in relation to our Cash Equity and Prime Brokerage activities.
•	Stamp duty compliance.
•	Manufactured overseas dividends.
•	VAT compliance.
•	Corporation Tax.
•	VAT Partial exemption reviews.
•	Transfer pricing.
•	QI compliance and reporting.
•	Interaction with internal/external audit and external advisors.
•	Interaction with Product Control and Financial Reporting teams.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
•	Financial services background with international tax experience gained within a global financial organisation or major accountancy firm
•	Cross border tax experience
•	Controls background.
•	Qualified accountant and ATII or equivalent tax qualification
