Tax Manager

A leading retailer with a  national presence if actively looking to recruit at Tax manager for a 10 month contract.  
Preparation and submission of correspondence to HM RC as a result of any enquiries in respect of all taxes
Notifying HMRC of any changes to the business to maintain ongoing good relationships and risk assessment
Dealing with HMRC in all meetings, site visits and audit for all taxes
Main point of the contact for the business in all HMRC matters
Ad hoc queries on all taxes from other departments within the business, legal, HR, property, buying and payroll.
Management of payroll manager and overseeing team.  Reviewing and signing off redundancy payments, company payroll, end of year returns.
Review of the product file for incorrect VAT classification and following up queries highlighted through VAT management programme
Preparation and submission of VAT reclaims including store visits to identify opportunities and identify mixed rate supplies.
Revising accrual workings for the VAT return as agreed with HMRC
